PRESS, President

Hello, everyone! I have the honor to be this year’s president at JCI United. As every year, our aim is to work hard to contribute to our community and the rest of the JCI world while doing things which are entertaining and self-rewarding. JCI United is a great platform for projects you have always wanted to do! At the same time you will get to know great people from Finland and abroad. In this chamber, we are really happy to see new internationally oriented people so send me a message or give me a call and I’ll tell you how to get in!

IPP, Immediate Past President

Hello, I am Juha, last year’s president. This year my responsibility is to lead the Member Election Committee. My tasks are to interview our new member candidates, match them to godfathers and check if everything goes alright.

What do I do outside of JCI? I’m a real entrepreneur, not a wantrepreneur. I train and compete in beach volley all year-round and also study in the university.

DP, Deputy President

This is my second year in JCI United and this years responsibility of Deputy President lies on me. It is truly a challenging experience and one in which I hope to learn a lot from! I like JCI because is a place where I can learn by doing, even If I have no experience at all. The rest of the members are quite experienced in many fields and it’s always great to approach them for help.

COM, Community officer

I attended one of JCI United’s workshops about internationalization and got to know what their chamber is about. I liked the people involved and their drive to improve the local community.

As COM (Community officer) this year, my goal is to continue building relationships to local stakeholders (e.g. other JCI chambers, city of Tampere, Tampere ambassadors, NGOs, companies) and to search for opportunities to co-operate with those parties. It is great to meet new people and work together on joint projects to advance our region further. Learning by doing and being able to make mistakes or gloriously succeed are great motivators to get active at JCI.

TREAS, Treasurer

Hello, everybody! My name is Antti Lehtinen and I am this year’s Treas at JCI United.

I expect a lot of new stuff to happen in JCI United during 2018. I will be mostly taking care of our finances. I find everlasting development fascinating in all levels. In JCI United we aim to make a difference on the big scale, but meanwhile, people involved get also a chance to develop their own skills.

LIO, Local Information Officer

I joined JCI United last year, after a memorable Craft Beer Tour. Already had the chance to participate in several projects, meet many nice people and see what it is like to be a jaycee. And it’s awesome!

Friendly and motivational atmosphere, can-do attitude and business oriented mindset of the members — those are the things I value the most in JCI. I can see a great potential in our chapter which is why I decided to join the 2018 Board and do my best to help communicating the wonderful things we do to the world out there. So, hello world 🙂
